Another look at the Supreme Winner of the 2020 NZ Timber Design Awards.
The Tuarangi Home was clad by Abodo in Tundra Cladding in Iron Vitriol finish, creating a low maintenance feature rich weathered look.
Tundra Cladding is made from New Zealand grown Douglas fir, and finished using an ancient Scandinavian wood coating method.
By using Tundra Cladding you are supporting New Zealand forests and the Kiwis that work in them.
Judge Andrea Stocchero commented "The striking architecture is materialised indoors by the cross laminated timber panels which, left exposed, define the warm character of the interior volumes and spaces".
Designed by Craig Wilson and the team at TOA Architects, this building is a showcase of timber design.
